HOME EVENTS COVERAGE Wet n Wild Marks 30 Years With New Collection

Wet n Wild had plenty to celebrate last week as it hosted editors, bloggers and beauty aficionados for it's 30th anniversary and unveiling of its new collection for 2010.

To enhance the look and quality, Wet n Wild revamped its packaging, updated its formulas and added over 70 new products to its color line --- continuing its mission of helping women achieve everyday beauty for less.

Senior Vice President of Sales, Shawn Haynes, explained the meaning behind the collection’s new tagline, “’Glamorous everyday. Fabulous everyway’ means women can continue to rely on Wet n Wild to give them that everyday glam with high quality products at affordable prices. Everyone recognizes Wet n Wild as a value brand, but we want to emphasize that we are a brand of quality also.”

In addition to champagne and cupcakes, guests were treated to a surprise performance by UK singer/songwriter Carmen Reece. She sang her Billboard smash hit “Right Here” along with a couple of other tracks off her debut album “Love in Stereo.”

At the reception everyone gathered in the gallery’s foyer to chat with enthusiastic company execs, models donning wet n wild inspired looks and freelance makeup artists.

“I’ve spent a lot of time working with makeup from high-end brands, but now I only use Wet n Wild,” declared makeup artist Suzana Hallili. “The quality certainly competes.”

Yuko Takahashi, the makeup artist that gave the models their sexy playful looks for the night, agreed, “There were so many fun colors added. It’s amazing to be able to create styles that are runway ready using products that are shockingly only around $1.99 each.”
