Unilever Brands Mission to Boost Tween Confidence

 

Radio Disney's Allstar Weekend plays for guestsUnilever brands, Degree Girl, Degree Men, Dove and Suave collaborated for a VIP concert aimed at tweens with one common goal: to teach them and their parents how to gain confidence.  Held at The Angel Orensanz Foundation in NYC, Radio Disney’s hottest new band Allstar Weekend performed for editors and a handful of fans.

 

Courtney Bryant of Unilever introduced the event and a new campaign called Don’t Fret The Sweat found at DontFretTheSweat.com, which teaches parents how to communicate with their tweens and teens so they can grow into self reliant young adults.  Besides expert advice, the site also offers a product matchmaker, which helps parents choose the right antiperspirant for their child during moments of stress or embarrassment and coupons.

Expert and author, Rosalind Wiseman spoke about how important it is to take baby steps when talking to children about body image.  “Eight out of ten moms feel more challenges for teens today with the Internet and social platforms being part of their every day lives,” she stated.
