DKMS and Coty Host a Star-Studded Gala

Celebrating it's fourth annual fundraiser at NYC Cipriani 42nd street last week, the DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Gala brought together supporters, beauty executives, and a bevvy of celebrities including Halle Berry, Kylie Minogue, Solange Knowles, Eva Mendes and Melissa Etheridge.

Music legend LA Reid was honored and rocker Jon Bon Jovi provided the night's entertainment blasting out some of his greatest hits like Blaze of Glory. The evening was presided over by Access Hollywood host, Shaun Robinson and  raised a whopping 1.76 million for the cause.

DKMS was founded by Benckiser's Peter Harf in 1991 in an effort to find a marrow donor for his wife. Today his daughter Katharina Harf who founded the DKMS Americas program in 2004, presides over the annual fundraiser. "With offices in New York, Poland and more to come, this has become my calling" Ms. Harf told guests. "I know my mother is smiling down on us tonight."

"This is our perfect match" said Bernd Beetz, CEO of Coty, inc. the sponsor of the evening. "We will continue to provide 100% support to the global expansion for the Linked Against Leukemia program."
